Women’s Ministries: Week One
Lead Me, Holy Spirit by Stormie Omartian
During this time of waiting for everything to return to normal, I invite you to seek the presence of the Holy Spirit. I am praying that you will be filled and led by the Holy Spirit so that nothing returns to normal. I pray that you will sense a higher calling from God in your life, something better, something outside the norm. I pray that when that happens, you will wear a robe of peace that can only come from the Lord.
This week we will begin a new Bible Study on the Holy Spirit. I will be using “Lead Me, Holy Spirit: Longing to Hear the Voice of God” by Stormie Omartian. The author plans a 12 week study but I will break this up a little more since we are not participating in person. I will be posting the Study Guide here and making it available in print for those that want it. We will also be covering some of these topics and questions in our Women’s Ministry Zoom meetings on the first Sunday of each month at 5PM.
Also during our last Zoom meeting, Traci Mitchell graciously volunteered to help us learn how to crochet prayer squares. We will revisit the prayer squares at our Zoom meetings to see how everyone is coming along and answer any questions. So if you have crocheting experience and would like to make some prayer squares, bring your yarn of choice and crochet needle.

Questions from the study guide for this week follows.
Read: “What Does It Mean To Be Led By The Holy Spirit” and Chapter 1: “Led To Receive” in Lead Me Holy Spirit
Led to receive the relationship with God you have always needed.
1. Read John 6:47-51. What does Jesus refer to himself as and why.
What is the bread Jesus is talking about, and what happens when you partake of it?
What do you have when you receive Jesus?
2. Read John 6:40. What is God’s will concerning Jesus?
What is God’s will and His promise for you regarding Jesus?
3.Read Romans 5:8-10. What did God demonstrate to you by sending His Son, Jesus, to die for you?
What did Jesus’ death accomplish for you?
4. Read John 3:5. What did Jesus say you have to do to enter the kingdom of God?
Read Act 2:38. What do you have to do in order to receive the Holy Spirit?
5. Read Philippians 2:8-10 What did Jesus do for us?
What did God do for Jesus?
What should we do in response to the name of Jesus?
6. Read 1 Corinthians 12:3. If you are being led by the Holy Spirit, what could you never do?
If someone is unable to say that Jesus is Lord of their life, what does that indicate?
Have you declared Jesus to be Lord of your life? If your answer is yes, write out a prayer thanking Him for what He has done by saving you. If your answer is no, write out a prayer asking Him to come into your life and forgive you of all past sins and to lead you into the life He has for you as your Savior and Deliverer. (Stormie suggests writing out your prayers will help you develop a richer prayer life by helping you focus on what to pray about. You may want to keep a prayer journal or add prayers on a separate sheet of paper to tuck into your book.)
I pray this Bible study is the beginning of a wonderful journey and that you all have a blessed week.
