Life can be hard. Sometimes very hard. We all can identify.
The Apostle Paul and his traveling associate Silas found themselves in a desperate situation. Having been arrested, beaten, placed in stocks and located in the inner most secure place of the jail building, it was approaching midnight. Dangerous and painful, the situation was dire. Their response to the situation may seem surprising. They began praying and singing songs of praise to God. The result is one of the Bible’s greatest stories of deliverance. As I stated in my opening sentence, life can be hard. We, too, will be faced with life’s dire situations. What can we learn from Paul and Silas’ example? That will be the theme of my Sunday sermon. I look forward to seeing you and your family at church this Sunday 🙂 -Pastor Carico
