The Life of Moses,
Moses lived over 3,000 years ago, born into an area and culture completely foreign to us. He was adopted from a poor Jewish family into the home of an Egyptian Pharaoh. In early adulthood he committed a murder and had to flee Egypt. In the land of Midian he marries the daughter of a shepherd and spends the next 40 years as husband and shepherd. But God still had plans for Moses. At age eighty God appears to Moses and gives him the task of returning to Egypt and leading the captive Jewish people to freedom. The next forty years of his life are spent accomplishing this task. At the age of 120 Moses dies. At first glance it may seem that we have little, if anything, in common with Moses. But you will be surprised! There is much that we can relate to in the life of this ancient historical and spiritual leader! I invite you and your family to join me tomorrow for my sermon entitled “The Life of Moses”. See you at church! -Pastor Carico
