Greetings From Our Pastor
Pastor Jeff & Donna Carico
On behalf of myself and family, I would like to welcome you to the church family of First Assembly of God. I am Rev. Jeffrey L. Carico, Senior Pastor of First Assembly, and my wife of 33 years is Donna W. Carico. We have three children. I grew up in Wise County, Virginia, graduated the University of Virginia's College at Wise with a B. A. in American History in 1982. After graduation, I felt the call of God to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Upon the completion of the required studies and experience, I became an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God in 1990. Following service positions of Youth/Music Pastor at St. Paul Assembly of God in St. Paul, Virginia, and Senior Pastor of Faith Assembly of God in Ferrum, Virginia, I accepted the call of Senior Pastor of First Assembly of God in Bristol, Virginia in June 1992. I believe God has placed First Assembly in the city of Bristol to be a source of evangelism and training for the Kingdom of God in our city and surrounding area. I invite you to join us as we birth the fruit of the kingdom into our area!
May God Richly Bless You,
Pastor Carico & Family
Grow with us. Learn with us.
Each week, Pastor Carico shares a Weekly Greeting on his blog, and two new devotional videos relative to topics from his sermons called Sunday Reflection. These tools are made available to help us grow in our spiritual lives together as a congregation. We encourage you to check them out each week, and grow with us!

Galatians 5:19-26 19The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
