My Sunday sermon will be on the theme of the call of Nehemiah. You can find the story in the first chapter of the book of Nehemiah. He left a comfortable occupation and lifestyle to go to the violent, destitute and poverty stricken city of Jerusalem. Was it a good decision?
In many ways the answer to this question will be no. But the “game changer” in the story of Nehemiah is the call of God. If you factor in the call of God the answer will be yes. I hope that you and your family will join us this Sunday at 10:00 AM for our Morning Worship Service. I look forward to studying the call of God upon the life of Nehemiah. -Pastor Jeff Carico

Are you surprised by the tensions and conflicts of the Middle East that are dominating the news headlines? Will you be shocked if future events occur? I believe most people are not surprised by recent events and anticipate future events will come. In my opinion those assumptions are correct!
Does the Bible give us information relevant to what we are seeing? Jesus spoke about events of the last days and described them as “birth pains”, a prelude to his return. The title of my Sunday sermon will be “Can You Feel The Birth Pains?”. I invite you to join us this Sunday at 10:00 AM. -Pastor Jeff Carico Dr. David Jeremiah

His testimony of divine healing of cancer shows us the power of faith in God’s Word. An “attitude of gratitude”, praise, and faith in God’s Word are his prescription for divine healing.
Dr. Renfro will be returning to First Assembly on Sunday, March 3rd for a 10:00 AM and a 6:00 PM worship service. The 10:00 AM service will feature testimonies of healings from yesterday’s service and the 6:00 PM service will feature prayer for healing. This Sunday I plan to challenge the congregation with a six week season of prayer and fasting as we prepare for the year of 2024. Sunday we were given a prophetic word that “the veil is lifting”. Let’s travel behind the veil into His presence. In His presence we will surely find what we need. I invite you to join us. -Pastor Jeff Carico As a part of my sermon preparations during the Christmas season I read about the Jewish cultural understanding of love and marriage during the Biblical era. Joseph and Mary’s cultural concepts of love and marriage were quite different than our 2024 American concepts. I found this quite interesting!
When the Bible tells us that God loves us, what were the Bible authors trying to communicate to us? Can a study of their culture help us better understand their thoughts? I believe so. My Sunday sermon will be entitled, “The Love of God. What Does That Mean?”. I hope you and your family will join us this Sunday at 10:00 AM. -Pastor Jeff Carico *All services are available in person and online. *Chilren’s Church and infant nursery provided. |
