      Yesterday we were blessed by the preaching gift of Rev. Tony Raffa as he spoke on the subject of "Discipleship".   Rev. Raffa reminder us that God is not only a God of the past, but also a God of the present and the future.  If our greatest spiritual experience is in the past, Rev. Raffa asked us to think about these three challenges:
1. Are you a growing learner?
2. Are you stuck in a past spiritual experience?
3. Are your priorities in the right places?
       The greatest days of your spiritual experience are ahead of you if you will daily seek a fresh walk with the Lord!

       Yesterday we continued the sermon series "Worship" with an emphasis on Spiritual Gifts (1 Corinthians 12: 1-11).  Three categories of gifts are listed in this scripture:

1. Gifts of Utterance
2. Gifts of Power
3. Gifts of Revelation

       The purpose of Spiritual Gifts is to provide the Body of Christ with the most effective ministry and worship services possible.   My challenge is that each of us search the will of God for personal availability for spiritual gifts, and that First Assembly always be open and sensitive for the presence and usage of spiritual gifts.

       Yesterday I began a sermon series on the subject of "worship".   Romans 12: 1-2 gives us the challenge of presenting ourselves as a living sacrifice to God.  As we serve the Lord, our entire life is an act of worship to God!
​       As you acknowledge God today in all you do, you are presenting God with the best worship we can give to him:  ourselves!

       Yesterday I finished the sermon series "A Christian Worldview" with the subject of "Destiny".   We came from God, and we will finish with God.  There is no way around it.  He is the first and the last, the beginning and the end!
​       Jesus has provided a safe foundation for our eternal destination.  I encourage you to base your worldview on the sure foundation of Jesus, the Bible, and the truth they contain!
