Yesterday's sermon entitled "Jesus Is Born" emphasized the truth that the birth of Jesus was just the beginning.  Christmas 2018 may have passed, but the birth of Jesus was just the beginning, not the end.  As Joseph, Mary and the young child began their incredible life, God met every need.  What an amazing God!
       As we begin a new year the Christmas story will give us the confidence we need to face 2019.  This new family faced staggering challenges, but God met their needs!  God hasn't changed, and he can meet our needs in 2019!

Thanks to Youth Pastor Jeff Call and our youth leaders in giving our youth a special holiday trip to the Speedway In Lights and Ice Skating Rink.   22 attended and a good evening was enjoyed by all.

      My Sunday sermon will be entitled "Jesus Is Born".  We all know that the birth of a child is just the beginning!    At the birth of a child we are just getting started.  And so it was for Jesus, his birth was just the beginning!   You will be challenged and excited as we look at the "next steps" that followed the birth of Jesus.

     Yesterday was a wonderful celebration of the birth of Jesus.  My sermon title was "Our Christmas GPS".   Each character of the nativity was guided by the Holy Spirit to the exact place they were directed to be.  Faith, trust and belief will still lead us to the will of God!
      I would like to express a special word of thanks to our children's workers and children for providing a live nativity scene each Sunday of December in our south entrance.  We love our children at First Assembly and want to teach them the truths of God's Word!

      The title of my Sunday sermon will be "Heaven's Christmas GPS".   There are several in the Christmas narrative that searched for Jesus.  Heaven made sure that the y found the new born Messiah!
