      This week I am challenging our congregation to join with me as we follow the instructions of 1 Peter 5:6 "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble".    As we humble ourselves before God he has promised to show us his grace.  So, let's do it, let's become humble before the Lord!  Tell God you cannot make it on your own and you need his help, ask for his grace, tell him you are sorry for your sins and failures, and that you thank him for helping you.  The promise of God is that as we humble ourselves in his presence, he will show us grace!
      Let's do it!
