My Sunday sermon will be on the theme of the call of Nehemiah.  You can find the story in the first chapter of the book of  Nehemiah.  He left a comfortable occupation and lifestyle to go to the violent, destitute and poverty stricken city of Jerusalem.  Was it a good decision?
     In many ways the answer to this question will be no.   But the “game changer” in the story of Nehemiah is the call of God.  If you factor in the call of God the answer will be yes.

      Are you surprised by the tensions and conflicts of the Middle East that are dominating the news headlines?  Will you be shocked if future events occur?  I believe most people are not surprised by recent events and anticipate future events will come.  In my opinion those assumptions are correct!  
       Does the Bible give us information relevant to what we are seeing?   Jesus spoke about events of the last days and described them as “birth pains”, a prelude to his return.  The title of my Sunday sermon will be “Can You Feel The Birth Pains?”.    I invite you to join us this Sunday at 10:00 AM.
