Yesterday I finished the sermon series "Stepping Out Of Sinfulness And Into Life". Jesus promised us "full and abundant" life as we step away from our sinful past and into his will. I am agreeing with you that we will experience this full and abundant life! Not just in theory, but in a present reality. A promise fulfilled!
-Pastor Carico Sunday I will being finishing the sermon series "Stepping Out Of Sinfulness And Into Life". I have very much enjoyed preaching this sermon series, and I believe to be a message that is of value to the American Christian culture. I encourage you to being a friend to church this Sunday.
I am expecting a 1st Century move of the Holy Spirit as we worship together this Sunday. Come expecting! Come excited! Come worshipping! See you Sunday! -Pastor Carico Yesterday I continued the sermon series "Stepping Out Of Sinfulness And Into Life". We looked at Galations 5: 19-26. In these verses Paul gives us clear instructions on what the sinful issues of life are that a Christian must avoid. As we step out of these sinful practices, we step into the life of God! I am agreeing with you today for the full and abundant life that God has promised to us as we step away from sin and toward him! -Pastor Carico Galatians 5:19-26 19The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. This Sunday I will continue the sermon series "Stepping Out Of Sinfulness And Into Life". This sermon series explores our journey of leaving behind our sinful past and pursuing the life of God. As we take this journey the Bible promises us that we will receive "abundant life"! That sounds good to me!
We will also be expressing our appreciate to our fathers this Sunday as we observe Father's Day. We will honor all fathers present at both our 9:00 AM and 10:50 Worship Services. See you Sunday! -Pastor Carico Yesterday I began the sermon series "Stepping Out Of Sinfulness And Into Life". This sermon series will describe our journey of stepping out of our sinful life and into the life God has described for us in His Word. The life of God is promised to be a life of "abundant life".
Here are some scriptures that I used yesterday: 2 Corinthians 5: 17 John 10: 10 1 John 2: 15-17 James 4: 4-8 Romans 6: 1-2 James 3: 9-11 2 Corinthians 6: 14-18 Galatians 5: 19-26 Let's join together and make the journey to God's "abundant life"! -Pastor Carico Sunday I will begin a sermon series entitled "Stepping Out Of Sinfulness and Into Life". This sermon series will explore the believer's journey of leaving behind their life of sin and pursuing a life pleasing to God. I believe you will find this sermon series very interesting. I encourage you to invite your family, friends and neighbors as we take this journey together!
See you Sunday! -Pastor Carico Yesterday I concluded the sermon series "Many Convincing Proofs-Pentecost Sunday, June 4". For 40 days Jesus gave many "convincing proofs" of his resurrection, then left his believers with the promise of the Holy Spirit. For 10 days 120 believers waited in the Upper Room for Jesus' promise to be fulfilled. Acts chapter 2 records the outpouring and the fulfillment of Jesus' promise.
The Bible tells us that the promise of the Holy Spirit is not only available for those present on the Day of Pentecost, but is available for all generations! For those who believe and receive the Holy Spirit is available today! Amen! This Sunday I will conclude the sermon series "Many Convincing Proofs-Pentecost Sunday, June 4". Following Jesus' ascension he spent 40 days giving his followers "many convincing proofs" of the reality of his resurrection. At his ascension he commended his followers to return to Jerusalem for the promised Holy Spirit. Ten days later, on the Day of Pentecost, this promise was fulfilled! (Acts 2: 1-4).
Each day we live with the reality of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. As Born Again believers we are the residence of the Holy Spirit, and all believers have the privilege of being filled with the Holy Spirit as was the experience on the Day of Pentecost! We are truly blessed! I look forward to seeing you this Sunday. Come to church expecting a 1st Century move of the Holy Spirit in the 21st Century church! See you Sunday. -Pastor Carico |
