Wow! It seems to have gone as quickly as it came. Thanksgiving has passed and Christmas is coming. Isn’t it amazing how quickly time passes. We need to think about that. There are some profound truths we can gain from that simple statement!
Sunday we will begin our Christmas theme “Jesus Is Born” and my text for the Christmas season will be Luke 2:1-7. This Sunday I will emphasize Mary, the mother of Jesus, and her willingness to believe the angel Gabriel as he promises her a miraculous conception and birth: “Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus.” Luke 1:30-31 NKJV I issued a challenge to our congregation that during the Thanksgiving season we bless someone with an act of kindness. I would like to continue this challenge for the Christmas season. Pray and ask the Lord to lay upon your heart an act of kindness that you can do for someone. Our Heavenly Father gave to us his son at Christmas, now we share that spirit of giving with someone else as we give to them our act of kindness. God bless you as you share the love of God! 🙂❤️ I would like to remind everyone that we will be dedicating our new all purpose addition to our church on Sunday, December 18. Our special musical guest for the Christmas concert will be Philips and Banks. Service will begin at 10:00 AM. God bless you, I look forward to seeing you this Sunday, 10:00 AM. -Pastor Carico

The theme of our services for the Thanksgiving Season will be “A Season of Thanksgiving” and our scripture text will be “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name” Psalms 100:4.
I have issued a challenge to our congregation to show a spirit of thanksgiving during this special season of the year by doing something for someone else. Ask the Lord to show you a way you can be a blessing to someone. Allow the Lord to speak to your heart about showing his love to someone in some way. I believe this will add a special depth of meaning to your thanksgiving season. Thanksgiving is not just about us, but about others and their value. By becoming a blessing to someone else we show our thanksgiving to God for his blessings upon us! Let’s do it!!!!!! The Blessing Ministry food pantry will be giving out food for Thanksgiving. If you would like to help families have a good Thanksgiving, please bring foods such as canned green beans, canned sweet potatoes, stuffing, gravy, rolls, and cake mixes with icing. Please bring the food BEFORE WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 23! Thank you ! -Pastor Jeff Carico The theme of our services for the next two weeks will be “A Season of Thanksgiving” and our scripture theme will be “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name” Psalms 100:4.

This Sunday during our musical praise and worship at the beginning of the service we will show our thanksgiving to God and celebrate with two water baptismal candidates. Water baptism is always a special day for the congregation as well as the candidates and their families. It’s always exciting to rejoice with those who have experienced the saving grace of Jesus! Hallelujah! I look forward to seeing you this Sunday at 10:00 AM. -Pastor Jeff Carico My Sunday sermon will be the story of Mary, the mother of Jesus. My text will be John 2: 1-11. Jesus attends a wedding in which the host runs out of wine for the reception and finds himself in an embarrassing situation. Mary believes Jesus can help. She tells the attendants, “Do whatever he tells you”.
This is only one of the many events in the life of Mary. Have you ever wondered what it would have been like to be the mother of Jesus? Wow! Wow! Wow! That is an amazing thought! My Sunday sermon will be entitled, “What Did She Know and When Did She Know It?” I believe you will enjoy this. I invite you and your family to join our worship family this Sunday at 10:00 AM. -Pastor Jeff Carico *Infant nursery and children’s church provided |
