For many citizens of our country this is a week that they will want to soon forget. Hurricane Ian. That’s all I need to say.
The Bible records the account of many storms. These storms were just as severe as hurricane Ian, if not worse. The damage, destruction, fear and loss has not changed. Yet, in the darkness of life’s events we sometimes see glimmers of light. We saw stories of heroic first responders, neighbors helping neighbors, fleets of power trucks making a convoy to Florida to be of assistance, and many other acts of mercy and help. People caring for people. That is the heart of God! The title of my Sunday sermon will be “Surviving Life’s Storms”. I believe the Bible gives us some good advice. Let’s look together, 10:00 AM Sunday morning!!!!! -Pastor Carico

It’s an interesting time to be alive, isn’t it! In my 63 trips around the sun, 2022 has been an interesting lap. I can honestly say that it gets more interesting every year. Is “interesting” the word I want to use? How about: crazy, challenging, insane, shocking, complicated, scary, or nuts? Do you think one of these words would work?
I believe the Bible is a book of divine truth, given to us by God as an opportunity for understanding of his divine nature and plan. Does the Bible give us any direction or instruction into the times in which we live? I believe it does. My Sunday sermon will explore this question and will be entitled, “What Time Is It?”. Solomon tells us that there is an appropriate time for everything. So, I ask this question, “What time is it now?”. Do you ever ask yourself that question? I think you probably do. Our Sunday service begins at 10:00 AM. I invite you and your family. Adults will worship in our sanctuary, infant nursery and children’s church options are provided for children 12 years of age and younger. I look forward to seeing you Sunday! -Pastor Jeff Carico A new beginning. Sounds good, doesn’t it! There have been times that each of us have desperately needed a new beginning. There are no exceptions, everyone has been there. We also see it in those around us that we love. Oh, how the emotions can grip our heart! If we could just start over!
I have personally experienced the new beginning that God can give. Not just once, but several times. It started with my salvation experience in Jesus Christ and has continued throughout my life since then. I have been so very blessed, and none of it would have happened if I did not have Jesus in my life as Lord and Savior. I shutter to think where life would have taken me if I had traveled alone. I am blessed! I am thankful! This Sunday we will study the conversion experience of Saul (later to be known as Paul) found in Acts Chapter 9. A three day experience led Paul to a new beginning. It was the best thing that ever happened to him! You can have a new beginning also! I look forward to seeing you this Sunday at 10:00 AM. I invite you to bring your family. Ministries will be provided from infant nursery to adult. God bless, Pastor Jeff Carico The morning of September 11, 2001. Where were you? What were you doing? You can probably remember in detail the events of that day even though 21 years have passed.
Although many thoughts and emotions ran through my mind that morning one of my most vivid feelings was to go to the school, bring my children home, and provide a safe place for my family. I wanted to have my family near me where I felt I could protect them. I later learned that millions of Americans had the same thought and many did just that, going to schools all across America and getting their children. Wow, what a day! We all wanted to take our family and run to a safe place. As we look back in reflection we have to ask a serious question: “Where is that safe place?” Where can we go in times of trouble? How do we shelter ourself and our family in times of danger? This Sunday we will look to see what the Bible says about this question. The title of my sermon will be “Where Are You Going To Run?”. Service begins at 10:00 AM. Bring your family, infant nursery and children’s church through the age of 12 is provided. See you Sunday, -Pastor Jeff Carico Happy Labor Day weekend everyone! We have rain in the forecast, but, oh well, I guess that’s the way it goes! Maybe some indoor activities for the weekend!
I invite you to our Sunday Worship Service beginning at 10:00 AM. My sermon title will be “Jesus’ One Prayer Request”. “Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”” Matthew 9:37-38 When Jesus gives a prayer request I think it is an important one!
