The morning of September 11, 2001. Where were you? What were you doing? You can probably remember in detail the events of that day even though 21 years have passed.
Although many thoughts and emotions ran through my mind that morning one of my most vivid feelings was to go to the school, bring my children home, and provide a safe place for my family. I wanted to have my family near me where I felt I could protect them. I later learned that millions of Americans had the same thought and many did just that, going to schools all across America and getting their children. Wow, what a day! We all wanted to take our family and run to a safe place. As we look back in reflection we have to ask a serious question: “Where is that safe place?” Where can we go in times of trouble? How do we shelter ourself and our family in times of danger? This Sunday we will look to see what the Bible says about this question. The title of my sermon will be “Where Are You Going To Run?”. Service begins at 10:00 AM. Bring your family, infant nursery and children’s church through the age of 12 is provided. See you Sunday, -Pastor Jeff Carico
